Dear IYHL Families,

As the season winds down I wanted to get some information out to the league.  First, if your team isn’t in the championship game I would encourage you to come out and support the coaches and players this Sunday.  Following are the game times:

10U White 1:00-2:15 Ice Box - Team 2 (Home) vs Team 3

10U Green 2:30-3:45 Ice Box - Team 1 (Home) vs Team 2

12U             4:00-5:15 Ice Box    - Team 4 (Home) vs Team 5

14U             5:30-6:45 Ice Box    - Team 2 (Home) vs Team 1

Coaches, if you have IYHL goalie gear please turn it in Sunday at the Ice Box during the championship games.  If you can’t make it, please email me so I know you have a set of gear and we can collect it at a later date.  Iyhl.president@gmail.com

Spring Hockey Tournament Teams:  The sign up for the teams for the Hockey Time Tournaments will be open soon through the IYHL website.  You will sign up for the level you will play at for the 2017-18 season.  There will be teams at the 10U, 12U and 14U levels. There will be four practices and two tournaments.  1 practice the week of April 10, 1 practice the week of April 17, tournament games April 21-22-23 at Notre Dame, 1 practice the week of April 24, 1 practice the week of May 1, tournament games May 5-6-7 in Ann Arbor. The practices will not conflict with the Compton Classroom practices so players can do both if they want to.  If you would like to coach a team, please send me an email as to what team you would like to coach.

Finally, if you have interest in running for a 2-year position on the IYHL board please send me your bio and we will send it out with the bios of everyone running.  There are five open spots and as of today we have four people running for those positions.  The general membership meeting is March 21 at 6:30 at the Ice Box.  I would encourage parents to come out as we review the season answer questions and vote on board members.

Thanks, and see you at the rink,

Brian Troester
